Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 32.4 degrees and the kennel temperature was 16.8 degrees.
GRV Investigative Stewards conducted an inspection of all vehicles in accordance with the GRV Transport Policy, all were compliant.
Witchie's Gas was quick to begin. Golden Charm was slow to begin.
Elite Mia and Weslyn Bale collided soon after the start. Blackfish Fozz, Elite Mia and Weslyn Bale collided on the first turn, checking Weslyn Bale; and severely checking Elite Mia, which lost considerable ground.
Elite Mia underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
