Soldado, Stretch Butler and Cudgee's Jayne were quick to begin.  

Soldado and Stretch Butler collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Nessa's Bliss contacted the running rail approaching the first turn, checking Star Ballerina. Alvarado checked off Our Manny on the home turn.  Alvarado raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight. 

Star Ballerina underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Nessa's Bliss underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury and a right foreleg deltoid injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Thistle Smoke and Swift Succession were slow to begin.  

Weblec Wizz and Baby Eden collided approaching the first turn.  Lektra Lyrebird and Lektra Desire collided on the first turn.  Lektra Desire raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Yogi Mikado and Bronski Beat collided soon after the start.  My Word Shirley raced wide on the first turn.  Bronski Beat checked off My Word Shirley on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr Keith Lloyd the representative of Speedy Amira regarding the nomination of the greyhound in this event. Mr Lloyd stated that the greyhound was either inadvertently nominated for this event or drawn into this event by the grading department. Mr Lloyd further added  that the greyhound was ill yesterday and scratched accordingly. Stewards accepted Mr Lloyd's explanation.

Thomeli Monster, Midnight Mystery and Yeller Bale were slow to begin. 

Annie Lava and Tornado Tears collided on the first turn.  Blue Shadow and Tornado Tears collided approaching the third turn.  Tornado Tears and Yeller Bale collided on the third turn, checking Tornado Tears.  Midnight Mystery raced wide in the home straight.

Snags Mckenzie - Late scratching at 9:18pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a right hindleg nail injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Blackpool Marvel and Okay Sam were quick to begin.

Beaut Deeds and Like A Slug collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds.  Mysterious Mara checked off Josephine approaching the first turn, checking Hasta Manana. Like A Slug, Mysterious Mara and Hasta Manana collided approacing the home turn checking Hasta Manana and Like A Slug, severly checking Mysterious Mara which fell as a result. 

Like A Slug underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Mysterious Mara underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg radius/ulna fracture. Mysterious Mara was humanely euthanased.

St. Pauli and Graphic Print were quick to begin.  Winlock Newbolt and Amor Vincit were slow to begin. 

Amor Vincit and Zemira Mikado collided entering the home straight and several times in the home straight.  Bad Apple and Crackerjack Ale collided approaching the winning post.  Winlock Newbolt fell after crossing the finish line.
