Steward's Report
Tiggerlong Back, Little Queeny and Delusional Fab were slow to begin.
Raylene Bale checked off My Ollie approaching the first turn. My Ollie and Tiggerlong Grace collided on the first turn, checking Tiggerlong Grace. Valletta Mist and My Ollie collided in the home straight. Valletta Mist marred My Ollie approaching the winning post.
Valletta Mist underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr John Nicholls, the trainer of Valletta Mist regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Valletta Mist was charged with marring. Mr Nicholls pleaded guilty to the charge, Valletta Mist is suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Valletta Mist - the winner of the event.
