Steward's Report
Keen Gem and Select All collided approaching the first turn checking Keen Gem. Macalister Tiger and Select All collided on the first turn. Take A Daisy was checked off Select All on the first turn. Keen Gem was checked off Maximum Trina approaching the home turn. Keen Gem veered in and marred Macalister Tiger in the home straight.
Keen Gem underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right monkey muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. L. Russell the representative for Keen Gem regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Keen Gem was charged with marring. Mrs. Russell pleaded guilty to the charge, Keen Gem is suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
