Steward's Report
Off To Monaco was quick to begin. Aeroplane Tippa and Ishmy Girl collided on the first turn, in the back straight and again approaching the home turn. Ishmy Girl was checked off Off To Monaco on the home turn. Aeroplane Tippa and Go Tango collided on the home turn. Off To Monaco and Aeroplane Tippa collided in the home straight checking Aeroplane Tippa. Lena Lake turned its head and eased in the home straight.
Lena Lake underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right monkey muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Johnson the trainer of Lena Lake regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Lena Lake was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Johnson pleaded guilty to the charge, Lena Lake is suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
