Steward's Report
Flinders was quick to begin. Aaron's Me Boy and Casanova Man were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Dr. Cassia and French Sugar collided on the first turn severely checking Dr. Cassia and checking Jay Bird. Aaron's Me Boy and Casanova Man collided approaching the home turn.
A post race sample was taken from Flinders - winner of the event.
Following race 8 Stewards were advised by kennel staff that there was a foreign object that appeared to be a regurgitated tablet in the kennel bay for Race 4. As a result Stewards opened an inquiry into the preparation of Sassy Keats for this event with Trainer Mr. R Floyd. Evidence was taken from Mr. Floyd regarding the kennel's race day husbandry in relation to the greyhound Sassy Keats. Stewards adjourned the inquiry to a date to be fixed pending analysis of the tablet by Racing Analytical Services Ltd.
