It's A Jewel crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Rockin' Richard, Repercussions, Triskelion and severely checking It's A Jewel. Rockin' Richard and Moraine Rosie collided approaching the second turn checking Rockin' Richard and Repercussions. Scuffy checked off Triskelion approaching the second turn. Scuffy raced wide approaching the home turn. 

Olive's Branch underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Kinloch Journey was quick to begin. Lachie's Legacy and Another Rupee were slow to begin.

Mostro Rocks crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Absolute Scenes, Scarred Warrior and Quick Income. Scarred Warrior and Absolute Scenes collided on the first turn causing Absolute Scenes to race wide checking Lachie's Legacy, Another Rupee and Absolute Scenes. Quick Income raced wide approaching the second turn. 

Lachie's Legacy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a ligament rupture and split webbing to the left front toe. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

My Dewana Penny was quick to begin. Bobby Lava, Princess Pulse and Galloping Eddie were slow to begin.

Potente Rocks and Mega Dossa collided soon after the start. My Dewana Penny and Diamantina Rose collided on the first turn. Diamantina Rose crossed to the rail approaching the second turn checking Bobby Lava. My Dewana Penny and Diamantina Rose collided on the third turn checking Princess Pulse. Princess Pulse and Diamantina Rose collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Bobby Lava galloped on Princess Pulse on the home turn severely checking both greyhounds.

Princess Pulse underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right hip injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Kiomara - Performed an exhibition trial over 715m from box 1, weighing 24.7kg in a time of 42.21. A pre-race sample was taken from Kiomara.

Angry Trip crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Gemma Nismo, subsequently checking Romanova. Abstract Miss and Lady Bang Bang collided on the third turn. Matilda Mikado tired over the concluding stages. 

Matilda Mikado underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left pencil muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mrs Maria Barber, regarding the performance of Matilda Mikado today.  Ms Barber stated that it was her intention not to run the greyhound over this distance in the immediate future.  Stewards noted Ms Barber's explanation and after taking into consideration the injury sustained to the greyhound, took no action in the matter.

A post-race sample was taken from Angry Trip - the winner of the event. 

Rajasthan - Performed an exhibition trial over 715m from box 1, weighing 32.1kg in a time of 42.03. A pre-race sample was taken from Rajasthan.

Tornado Tears - Performed an exhibition trial over 715m from box 3, weighing 32.2kg in a time of 41.34. A pre-race sample was taken from Tornado Tears.

Unbuckled - Late scratching at 2:07pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr Aaron Farley was fined $100.

Rico's Amore and Mitch Bale were slow to begin. 

Lara Tara, Chasing Beers, Rico's Amore, Shifting Sands and Mitch Bale collided on the first turn severely checking Chasing Beers and Rico's Amore which lost ground as a result. Rico's Amore and Chasing Beers collided approahcng the second turn. Patrick Francis checked off Liam Roxon approaching the home turn. Shifting Sands and Liam Roxon collided approahcing the home turn.

Stewards issued a warning to licensed catcher Mrs Carole Brinsley after she failed to catch the greyhound Mitch Bale in this event. Stewards accepted that Mrs Brinsley was in the vicinity of the catching pen area and had immediately taken access of the greyhound from the club's catching pen attendant.

Chasing Beers underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Luckie Karabitsakos after he failed to present Rico's Amore for a post-race veterinary examination.  Mr. Karabitsakos advised that he was unaware the greyhound was to be vetted and that the greyhound had left the course with a family member.  Stewards directed that Mr Karabitsakos present Rico's Amore at Cranbourne on Wednesday, 4 September, 2019 for an examination by the on-course Veterinarian.  Stewards also reminded Mr Karabitsakos that he must obtain a clearance by Stewards before allowing his greyhounds to leave the course.

Campini - Performed an exhibition trial over 515m from box 1, weighing 31.4kg in a time of 29.44.A pre-race sample was taken from Campini.

Lumen Nation was quick to begin. Grace Intention and Tourello were slow to begin.

Khaleesi Girl crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Solar Charge, Grace Intention and Vanishka. Lumen Nation and Belt Up Libba collided soon after the start. Belt Up Libba, Vanishka, Grace Intention and Solar Charge collided on the first turn. Vanishka and Khaleesi Girl collided in the back straight checking Vanishka and severely checking Belt Up Libba, subsequently checking Solar Charge. Grace Intention and Solar Charge collided  several times approaching the third turn checking Grace Intention. Vanishka galloped on the heels of  Khaleesi Girl on the third turn checking Khaleesi Girl which lost ground. Solar Charge and Khaleesi Girl collided approaching the home turn checking Vanishka, Khaleesi Girl, Belt Up Libba and Grace Intention. Belt Up Libba marred Vanishka on the home turn checking Vanishka, Grace Intetnion and Khaleesi Girl. Belt Up Libba and Khaleesi Girl collided in the home straight. 

Belt Up Libba underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to both deltoid muscles. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Lee Rowe, the Trainer of Belt Up Libba regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Belt Up Libba was charged with marring. Mr. Rowe pleaded guilty to the charge, Belt Up Libba is suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Grace Intention underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to both deltoid muscles and the left triangle muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Khaleesi Girl underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Tourello - the winner of the event. 

Atomic Icon, Wynburn Lucifer and Sunny's Kayo collided soon after the start checking Wynburn Lucifer and Sunny's Kayo. Summer Girl and Hunkapapa collided approaching the first turn checking Sumemr Girl. Atomic Icon and Hunkapapa collided on the first turn checking Hunkapapa. Atomc Icon raced wide entering the front straight. Captain Jake and Atomic Icon collided approaching the second turn checking Captain Jake. Captain Jake, Atomic Icon and Summer Girl collided on the second turn checking Captain Jake.

Mepunga Spectre underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to both wrists. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Matthew Lanigan, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the second turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Mepunga Spectre was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Lanigan pleaded guilty to the charge, Mepunga Spectre must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Heidi Intention underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Blusain Bolt was quick to begin.

Van Wilson and Pagan Dancer collided on the first turn. Living Daylights checked off Blusain Bolt on the second turn. Pagan Dancer and Han Solo collided on the second turn. 

Front Page News underwent a post-race veterinary examination after the greyhound fell in the catching pen - no apparent injury was reported. 

Mr Stephen Tabb was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Silver Cupcake pursuant to GAR 33.
