Aston Corinna and Rock It Fabio collided soon after the start.  Steinmark and Tommy Lava collided approaching the first turn. Aston Corinna and Rock It Fabio collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Steinmark, Tommy Lava, Tania Bale and Stormy Blue collided on first turn checking Tommy Lava, Tania Bale and Stormy Blue.  Tommy Lava and Stormy Blue collided on the second turn.

Spot On Mick went up with the lids and was slow to begin.  Gentleman Fox was slow to begin.

Aston Achilles and Any Luck collided approaching the second turn.  Call Me Billy galloped on Any Lucky in the back straight.  Any Luck checked off Spot On Mick entering the home straight.  Any Luck tired over the concluding stages of the event.  

Slight Of Hand was quick to begin.

Sweet On Me and Buddy Guy collided soon after the start.  Carson Bale, Aston Cade, Sweet On Me, Buddy Guy and Diama Miss collided on the first turn checking all five greyhounds and causing Sweet On Me to fall.  Sarcasmic checked off Poppo's Legacy approaching the second turn.  Sarcasmic and Aston Cade collided on the home turn and in the home straight.

Sweet On Me underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left wrist and shin soreness to the left hind leg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Diama Miss underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Run Baba Run and Aston Ajax were quick to begin.  Shamrock Lava and Son Of Fabio were slow to begin.

Valeera and Zen Prince collided soon after the start.  Aston Ajax, Valeera and Zen Prince collided soon after the start.  Aston Ajax checked off the heels of Halberd Bale on the first turn checking Zen Prince and Master Marcus.  Son Of Fabio shifted out and raced wide on the first turn.  Aston Ajax checked off Zen Prince on the first turn.  Valeera, Zen Prince and Master Marcus collided on the second turn.  Master Marcus checked off Zen Prince in the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Halberd Bale - the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Saint David.

Wynburn Lucifer and Sant David collided approaching the first turn.  Saint David raced wide on the first turn and was disappointing and trailed the field throughout.  Midnight Storm and Wynburn Lucifer collided in the back straight.  Galway Icon and Midnight Storm collided on the home turn.  

Saint David was disapppointing, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have shin soreness to the left foreleg and a right back muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Saint David was well supported (second favourite) in the market however on exposed form, this seemed somewhat difficult to reconcile. Trainer Peter Byrne did not support the greyhound and it was discussed that recent winning Mt. Gambier form may not be such a great guide for Sandown racing. Whilst the historical form of Saint David was far better (and was prior to being injured), the Stewards were satisfied that tonight's performance was in line with current form and as such, no action was taken. 

Segovia's Dream and Rockstar Melody collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Segovia's Dream and Golden Years collided on the first turn checking Golden Years.  Zipping Buffy checked off No Vacancy on the first turn.  No Vacancy checked off Unsound Mind on the home turn.

Beanology was slow to begin.

My Fernando Tim and Sico Bella collided on the first turn.

Wharfies Girl was quick to begin.

Blusain Bolt and Croucher collided approaching the first turn.  Why Not Pockets and Alamo Joe collided on the first turn checking Why Not Pockets.

Aston Alessio, Hitomi Bale and Missy Giblet collided soon after the start.  Smokin' Cindy and Iago Bale collided on the first turn.  Whatever I Want faltered on the first turn.  Hitomi Bale and Whatever I Want collided several times in the home straight.  Smokin' Cindy and Rollo Ragnar collided several times in the home straight.

Smokin' Cindy underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Tony Tufo, the trainer of Smokin' Cindy and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.

Uryan Bale was slow to begin.

Aston Canon, Molly Magic and Nessa's Yasmin collided on the first turn checking Aston Canon, Uryan Bale, Molly Magic and Nessa's Yasmin. Bea the Queen checked off Scatterbox entering the home straight checking Go Quantum.  Molly Magic shifted out in the home straight checking Bea The Queen.

Dustification was quick to begin.  Sprightly Fabio and Unrivalled Dusty were slow to begin.

Angie Ling, Sprightly Bro and Push collided soon after the start.  Angie Ling, Sprightly Bro and Push collided approaching the first turn checking Push and Sprightly Fabio; severely checking Angie Ling and Sprightly Bro which fell as a result.  Unrivalled Dusty raced wide on the first turn.  Unrivalled Dusty checked off Debbie's Destiny in the back straight.  Shifting Sands checked off Dustification approaching the winning post.

Mr Bart Russo was issued with a warning regarding his failure to produce his GRV licence in accordance with LRR 16.2.

Mr Charlie Pirotta was issued with a warning regarding his failure to produce his GRV licence in accordance with LRR 16.2.

Mrs Tracey Stephens was issued with a warning regarding her failure to produce her GRV licence in accordance with LRR 16.2.

Meeting Comments

Mrs Carole Brinsley was spoken to about her demeanour when addressing Club Staff. The Stewards advised Mrs Brinkley that any conversation with Staff must be in an appropriate and civil manner.  A caution was issued to Mrs Brinsley.
