Steward's Report
Crackerjack Kane- Late scratching at 11.18 am due to diarrhoea (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Ragnar Bale- Late scratching 1.14 pm due to abrasions. (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Grenfell, trainer of Ragnar Bale, regarding the circumstances pertaining to the late scratching of this greyhound. Mr. Grenfell stated that Ragnar Bale sustained an injury late this morning whilst in the exercise runs. Stewards noted his explanation.
A pre-race sample was taken from Gala Bale.
Lektra Lyrebird was quick to begin.
Razor Burn clipped the heels of Lektra Lyrebird on the first turn, checking Lektra Lyrebird. Razor Burn and Lektra Rebel collided approaching the home turn. Donald's Out checked off Lektra Rebel in the home straight, checking Gala Bale.
