Who Told Stevie was slow to begin.  Triple Double and Fleur Burger collided soon after the start checking Triple Double.  Fleur Burger checked off Chun Li approaching the first turn.  Fleur Burger, Missy Giblet and Diama Miss collided approaching the first turn checking Diama Miss.  Triple Double and Who Told Stevie collided on the first turn checking Triple Double.  Fleur Burger and Who Told Stevie collided approaching the second turn.  Fleur Burger checked off Missy Giblet approaching the second turn.  Who Told Stevie galloped on the heels of Dustification on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Triple Double and Missy Giblet collided approaching the winning post.

Triple Double was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right calf muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr L. Rowe, Trainer of Triple Double and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.

Fleur Burger was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 2.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both hocks and to the right hamstrings, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.   Stewards spoke to Representatives of Fleur Burger, Mr D. Chapman and Mr J. Willoughby.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Fleur Burger was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).   Mr Chapman and Mr Willoughby both pleaded guilty to the charge, Fleur Burger must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
