Steward's Report
This race was delayed approximately 2 minutes to allow a mechanical issue with the lure to be rectified.
A pre-race sample was taken from Imperial Jack.
Oshkosh Nar and Imperial Jack collided soon after the start checking Imperial Jack. Akashi Boy and Our Magic Turbo collided approaching the first turn causing Akashi Boy to brush the running rail. Imperial Jack and Okawa Eye Candy collided on the first turn, checking Imperial Jack.
Imperial Jack underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the hind toes and left fore dew claw. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Akashi Boy underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to trainer, Ms M.Lithgow regarding the greyhound Imperial Jack performance in todays event. Ms Lithgow stated that the greyhound has been trialling well after receiving a injury at coursing and that she was disappointed with the greyhounds performance. Stewards took into consideration the injury, Ms Lithgows submissions and the interference the greyhound sustained throughout the event and took no further action.
Stewards noted that due to a technical difficulty the incorrect race number was displayed on the semaphore board for this event.
A post-race sample was taken from Steppenwolf - the winner of the event.
