Steward's Report
Superior Chase - Late scratching at 6:15pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mrs J. Condon was fined $100.
Zipping Dash and Why Not Leo was quick to begin. Sparkle Motion and Reap The Rewards were slow to begin.
Sparkle Motion checked off That Will Be soon after the start. Zipping Dash checked off Why Not Leo on the first turn. Zipping Dash and That Will Be collided on the first turn. That Will Be and Foxy Cruiser collided approaching the home turn. That Will Be, Reap The Rewards and Foxy Cruiser collided several times on the home turn. Reap The Rewards shifted out and collided with That Will Be on the home turn.
Reap The Rewards underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 12 - no apparent injury was found.
Stewards spoke to Mrs D. Selleck, the presentative of Reap The Rewards regarding its performance on the home turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Reap The Rewards must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
