Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Elsa Rose.
Blueberry Hill checked off Free Advice soon after the start. Ink Spot and Free Advice collided approaching the first turn checking Free Advice. Ink Spot raced wide in the home straight. Aston Coopers turned it's head inwards in the home straight.
Aston Coopers underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left back muscle and right quad and right triangle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Chilcott, the trainer of Aston Coopers regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Aston Coopers was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Coopers is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
