Blackpool Alfie was quick to begin. Zipping Reuben and Cookie Deeds were slow to begin.
Olin Bale and Cherokee Cash collided soon after the start checking Olin Bale. Olin Bale and Zipping Reuben collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Blue Magic Opal contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground as a result.
