Steward's Report
Stoerra was quick to begin.
Pyrenees Petraca and Smooth Onyx collided soon after the start, checking Smooth Onyx. Steorra, Work Zone and Close Enough collided approaching the first turn, checking Work Zone, Tearaway Train and Pyrenees Petraca. Steorra checked off Parumba Taylah approaching the home turn. Work Zone and Smooth Onyx collided in the home straight.
Smooth Onyx underwent a post-race veterinary examination following a request from trainer, Mr D Keanelly and was found to have a right hindleg split webbing injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Close Enough - the winner of the event.
