Amigo Two was quick to begin. Barefoot Barry was slow to begin.
Knockout Fantasy and Maximum Cindy collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Crackerjack Kane and Barefoot Barry collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds and causing Crackerjack Kane to be turned outwards. Maximum Cindy galloped on Knockout Fantasy approaching the home turn, checking Knockout Fantasy. Crackerjack Kane and Knockout Fantasy collided in the home straight, checking Knockout Fantasy.
Knockout Fantasy underwent a post-race veterinary examination following a request from trainer, Mr J Borg and was found to have a left foreleg wrist injury. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Amigo Two - the winner of the event.
