Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Bush Martini, Chillout Chuckie and Finniss Vision were slow to begin.

Stewards spoke to Mr J Jarkis, the trainer of Joyful regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Joyful was charged with marring.  Mr J Jarkis pleaded not guilty to the charge, Joyful was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Jamo and He Shall Blitz were slow to begin.

Aston Turbine crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Aston Coopers and Nenna Tears.  Nenna Tears and He Shall Blitz collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Aston Coopers.  Aston Coopers checked off He Shall Blitz on the second turn.  Midnight Force and Jamo collided entering the back straight.  Midnight Force and Nenna Tears collided in the back straight, checking Midnight Force.  Goodnight Vicki and He Shall Blitz collided on the home turn.

Sanjiro crossed to the inside soon after the start and collided with Milly Mac; causing Any Luck, Teardrop and Springvale Misty to collide.  Sanjiro checked off Milly Mac on the first turn and collided with Meehan Poppy.  Meehan Poppy and Sanjiro collided several times approaching the second turn, checking Springvale Misty, Teardrop and Mad Eye Madam; severely checking Sanjiro.  Teardrop checked off Mad Eye Madam on the third turn.

King I Am – Late scratching at 9:53 am when trainer, Ms A Langton reported the greyhound to have a back muscle injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Demolition and Nothin' To Lose were slow to begin.

Mick's Legacy and Pair Of Nines collided on the first turn.  Pair Of Nines checked off Demolition entering the back straight.  Nothin' To Lose checked off Pair Of Nines on the third turn.

Black Spring was very slow to begin (5L).

Rising Moon and Here Runs Emilia collided on the first turn.  Prince Mark and Rising Moon collided on the third turn, checking Rising Moon.  Prince Mark checked off Golden Shiraz approaching the home turn checking Rising Moon and causing Prince Mark to clip the heels of Here Runs Emma; Here Runs Emilia faltered and subsequently tailed off.

Here Runs Emilia underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg metatarsal fracture.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Following race 6, Stewards inspected a section of the track near the home turn and deemed it satisfactory for racing.

Sharni's My Girl was quick to begin.  Sarcasmic and Patches Colour were slow to begin.

Maddie Zorro was quick to begin.  Smooth Talker was slow to begin.

Fourth Dimention shifted in soon after the start and collided with St. Leo.  Fourth Dimention checked off St. Leo on the first turn.  I'm A Dominator and Potent collided approaching the first turn.  Potent and Smooth Talker collided on the third turn.  Lady Pandora checked off I'm A Dominator in the home straight.

One Babe was slow to begin.

Attitude Plus, Greatest Showman and Hook Along Mint collided approaching the first turn, checking Greatest Showman.  Grime Time Zeus, Attitude Plus, Talking Numbers and Hook Along Mint collided on the first turn, checking Hook Along Mint.  Grime Time Zeus crossed to the rail approaching the second turn, checking Hook Along Mint; severely checking Attitude Plus and One Babe.  Hook Along Mint clipped the heels of Grime Time Zeus on the second turn and again entering the back straight; checking Attitude Plus, Grime Time Zeus and Hook Along Mint.
