Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

Remember Jimmy crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Mad Goosey and Baby Cakes.  Baby Cakes checked off Rippy Rascal at the 300m mark.  Remember Jimmy raced wide from the 250m mark to the winning post.  Kid Caldwell and Mad Goosey collided at the 200m mark.  Kid Caldwell and Rippy Rascal collided at the 150m mark and again at the 100m mark checking both greyhounds.

Remember Jimmy underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Baby Cakes underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a injuries to the right thigh muscle and the left hamstring.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G Condon (representing Trainer - Ms. A. Condon) regarding the betting movement on fixed odds for Warm Beer in this event.  Mr. Condon told Stewards that the greyhound is better suited to an inside draw and had an uninterrupted passage today.   Mr. Condon also stated that the greyhound gave a solid performance last week.  Stewards noted Mr. Condon's explanation and directed a post-race sample be taken from Warm Beer, the winner of the event.

Bernmar Junior and Red Hot Lady collided soon after the start.  Bernmar Junior, Red Hot Lady and Invictus Murray collided at the 300m mark.  Bitter Dash and Red Hot Lady collided at the 300m mark checking Bitter Dash, which faltered and tailed off as a result.

Bitter Dash underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hamstring injury.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Snap Decision and Duke Of Burnley were slow to begin.

Speed Force and Duke Of Burnley collided at the 200m mark.  Superior Charry and Snap Decision collided at the 175m mark.  Global Gem and Brayden Lennox collided at the 125m mark.

Premier Maggie and Elite Gift were quick to begin.

Premier Maggie, Now And Then, Eagle Jet and Mystic Rose collided soon after the start.  Premier Maggie and Mystic Rose collided at the 225m mark.  Beth Ablaze and Mystic Rose collided at the 100m mark.

Scarlatto Bilbo - Late scratching at 10:06am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to right bicep injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards noted that there was nothing to report for this event.

Nervous an Weird underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an incident in the catching pen and was found to have a laceration to the left trunk.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.  

Stewards spoke to Mr. Matthew Tabb, representative of the greyhound Tinker Town regarding the incident in the catching pen.  Stewards directed that Tinker Town must race only with an Anti-Aggression Muzzle fitted. If the greyhound is not presented with an AA muzzle, it must be scratched under GAR 20 (4).
