Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

A sample was taken from All Class Fairy upon arrival at the course.

Secrets Untold – New declared weight of 34.0kgs, last raced at 35.6kgs.

Pure Quality was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Secrets Untold and Mountain collided soon after the start.  Sizzling Sam checked off Secrets Untold approaching the first turn.  All Class Fairy crossed in approaching the first turn severely checking He Shall Blitz and Sweet Coconut, checking Galloping Occy, Sizzling Sam and Secrets Untold.  Secrets Untold and He Shall Blitz collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  All Class Fairy and Pure Quality collided on the third turn checking All Class Fairy.

Seve Rose and Weblec Haze were slow to begin.

Jayville Slick and He Shall Power collided on the first turn checking He Shall Power and Rising Moon.  Starry's Lad and Renewed collided on the first turn checking Starry's Lad.  Come On Eleanor and Jayville Slick collided on the fourth turn checking Come On Eleanor.  Jayville Slick galloped on Renewed in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Weeona Bulldozer.

Angry Trip was quick to begin.  Dark Arrow and Weeona Bulldozer were slow to begin.

Angry Trip checked off Red Rochelle on the first turn.  Weeona Bulldozer and Angry Trip collided on the second turn.  Angry Trip and Tauwitchere collided in the front straight.  Red Rochelle, Weeona Bulldozer and Zipping Clifford collided on the third turn checking Angry Trip, Zipping Clifford and Tauwitchere.  

Benali was slow to begin.

Steinbrenner, What About It and Last Hurrah collided approaching the first turn checking Steinbrenner, What About It and Benali.  Tough Tears and Last Hurrah collided on the first turn checking Tough Tears.  Benali and Steinbrenner collided on the first turn checking Steinbrenner.  Benali and What About It collided in the front straight checking What About It.  Tough Tears faltered and lost ground entering the back straight. 

Tough Tears underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle and left calf muscle injuries.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Vivatar and Leon Bale were quick to begin.  Ernesto Bale was slow to begin.

Good Odds Harada and Shanyln Deano collided soon after the start checking Good Odds Harada, Aston Cade and Lightning Blast.  Shanlyn Deano checked off Leon Bale on the second turn checking Good Odds Harada.  Ernesto Bale checked off Lightning Blast on the second turn.  Lots Of Chatter checked off Vivatar approaching the third turn.

Post-race samples were taken from placegetters - Vivatar (1st), Lightning Blast (2nd) and Leon Bale (3rd).

Spring Fair and Aston Silk were quick to begin and collided on the first turn.  Nangar Diva galloped on Madalia Maggie entering the back straight checking both greyhounds.  Spring Fair and Black Opium collided in the back straight.  Chart Topper checked off Madalia Maggie on the third turn checking Nangar Diva.  Origami Angel and Talulah Bale collided on the home turn.  

Spring Fair underwent a post-race veterinary examination - No apparent injury was reported.

A sample was taken from Midnight Monarch upon arrival at the course.

Midnight Monarch was slow to begin.

Mepunga Pegasus and Midnight Monarch collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Fernando's Riot and Terren's Close collided approaching the first turn checking Terran's Close.  Midnight Monarch checked off Terren's Close on the first turn.  Terren's Close and Space Trucking collided on the second turn checking Space Trucking.  Midnight Monarch and Space Trucking collided on the home turn checking Midnight Monarch.

Post-race samples were taken from placegetters - Jax Bale (1st), Tiggerlong Tonk (2nd) and Mepunga Pegasus (3rd).

Halbred Bale was quick to begin.

Wallbanger and Hard Style Rico collided soon after the start checking Hard Style Rico.  Wallbanger, Hard Style Rico and Jim Zarr Dashian collided approaching the first turn checking Hard Style Rico.  Hard Style Rico and Lucy's Milo collided on the first turn checking Lucy's Milo.  Halbred Bale checked off Simon Told Helen approaching the second turn.

Ultimate Bling was slow to begin.

Say Hi and Thistle Smoke collided approaching the first turn checking Thistle Smoke.  Say Hi crossed in on the second turn checking Shanlyn Charlott, Max Tractor, Thistle Smoke, Junk Food Junkie, Kingfisher Rose and Ultimate Bling.  

Welsly Bale and Fabriola Expert were slow to begin.

Rothwell Gal and Vesper Bale collided soon after the start checking Vesper Bale.  Fabriola Expert checked off Aston Franc approaching the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Squiggle Keeping - winner of the event.

Providence Bale, Lektra Yoyo and One Night Only were slow to begin.

Midnight Waltz and Providence Bale collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Midnight Waltz.  Providence Bale, Lektra Yoyo and One Night Only collided on the first turn checking One Night Only.  Muzza Keeping checked off Midnight Waltz on the first turn.  Providence Bale and Lektra Yoyo collided on the second turn checking Lektra Yoyo.  Midnight Waltz checked off One Night Only approaching the home turn checking Providence Bale and causing Muzza Keeping to race wide.

Tiggerlong Ginga was slow to begin.

Lady Pandora and Charlie Cockatoo collided soon after the start checking Lady Pandora.  Ingenuity and Tiggerlong Ginga collided soon after the start checking Tiggerlong Ginga.  Charlie Cockatoo crossed in approaching the third turn severely checking Ingenuity, Be So Good and Lady Pandora.

Investigative Stewards conducted a check of catcher’s licences in accordance with LR 16.2 at the start of the meeting and all were compliant.
