Steward's Report

Barellen Jewell – New declared weight of 26.3kg, last raced at 27.8kg.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Parade Steward Mr. R. Glass did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event. 

Deering Danae was very slow to begin (3L). Tin Can Sam, Aston Cinnamon and Wicked Blast collided soon after the start checking Wicked Blast. Barellen Jewel, Motor Ace and Tin Can Sam collided on the first turn checking Tin Can Sam and Aston Cinnamon. Kinloch Choir, Motor Ace and Tin Can Sam collided approaching the home turn. Wicked Blast clipped the heels of Motor Ace entering the home straight. Barellen Jewell stumbled and tailed off entering the home straight. Motor Ace and Tin Can Sam collided in the home straight and approaching the winning post.
Barellen Jewel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards inspected the track following the event and cleared it safe for racing.
