Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Moodswing Tarny.
Blackpool Astro was slow to begin.
Moodswing Tarny, Darra Onyx and Dewana Mechanic collided soon after the start checking Moodswing Tarny and Darra Onyx. Well Grounded crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Wise Thunder, Blackpool Astro and Charlie Bale. Moodswing Tarny checked off Dewana Mechanic approaching the first turn checking Darra Onyx. Moodswing Tarny and Darra Onyx collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Well Grounded, Wise Thunder and Blackpool Astro collided on the first turn. Wise Thunder and Blackpool Astro collided on the second turn. Wise Thunder brushed the running rail in the back straight and again on the third turn causing Wise Thunder to lose ground. Moodswing Tarny and Darra Onyx raced wide on the home turn.
Quail Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a suspected right carpal fracture. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Wise Thunder underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a superficial abrasion to the left shoulder. No stand down period was imposed.
