A pre-race sample was taken from Winlock Sunshine.
Jonty Bale, Kraken Smiles, Lightning Blast and Dewana Be Sure collided on the first turn. Golden Shiraz and Valletta Sky collided on the first turn checking Valletta Sky. Jonty Bale and Lightning Blast collided approaching the second turn. Jonty Bale clipped the heels of Golden Shiraz approaching the home turn.
Kraken Smiles underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind toe nail injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
