Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Wild Poppy was quick to begin.  My Rocky was slow to begin.  My Rocky galloped on Big Leigh soon after the start.  Louranda and My Rocky collided on the first turn.  Bold Mirage visibly eased on the home turn.  Wild Poppy galloped on Bold Mirage entering the home straight severely checking Go The Dove.  Rossi was checked off Bold Mirage in the home straight. My Rocky raced wide in the home straight.  My Rocky and Big Leigh collided approaching the winning post. Bold Mirage eased approaching the winning post and collided with Wild Poppy. 

Bold Mirage underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a split webbing on the right hind foot.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. P. Galea regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn and approaching the winning post.  Acting in accordance with GAR 69(B)(1) Bold Mirage was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Galea pleaded guilty to the charge, Bold Mirage must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post race sample was taken from Louranda - winner of the event.

Crystal Kiss and Delancy Bale collided approaching the first turn.  Ocean Star and Heidi Intention collided approaching the home turn.  Midnight Breeze and Delancy Bale collided on the home turn.

Superior Cripps and Teardrop were slow to begin.  Superior Cripps and Bluwy collided soon after the start.  Bluwy was checked off Thursday Thunder approaching the first turn.  Rumour File and Thursday Thunder collided on the first turn severely checking Thursday Thunder.  Grab That Earn was checked off Texas Metal entering the home straight.  Superior Cripps and Rumour File collided several times in the home straight.

Dundee Ace and Mighty Matilda collided soon after the start.  Gee Dalton was checked off Dyna Waqa soon after the start.  Dyna Yardo was checked off Bricabrac approaching the first turn.  Small Rose was checked off Mighty Matilda on the first turn checking Dundee Ace and Splinter.  Gee Dalton and Dyna Yardo collided approaching the home turn.  Bricabrac raced wide in the home straight.

Declassified and Spark Joy collided soon after the start.  Galloping Occy and Artemisia collided soon after the start. Xenia Bale and True Alpha collided on the first turn severely checking True Alpha. Spark Joy and Declassified collided in the home straight.

Sally's Pride was slow to begin.  Sally's Pride raced wide in the back straight.  Miss Dee Meadows and Jay Bird collided on the first turn.  Sally's Pride raced wide in the home straight.

Madalia Champ was slow to begin.  Opal Beach was checked off Star Night on the first turn checking Belt Up Ronny.  Madalia Champ was checked off Sawan Sawan on the first turn. Sawan Sawan was checked off Amarillo Highway approaching the home turn.

Dybala and Madalia Mick were slow to begin.  Party Mix was checked off Tezzalenko soon after the start.  Dybala and Party Mix collided on the first turn checking Party Mix.  Rapid Response and Cosmic Chieftain collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Madalia Mick raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Peter Thief underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right chest muscle.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Winsome Willow underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left monkey muscle.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
