Big Bro Zesta was slow to begin. 

Cristalle Blue crossed out approaching the home turn and collided with Big Bro Zesta, checking Take A Daisy; all three greyhounds raced wide as a result. Cristalle Blue and Big Bro Zesta collided approaching the winning post, checking Cristalle Blue. 

Rock Me Elijah was slow to begin.

Marshall Dillon crossed out soon after the start and collided with Brave Traveller, checking Brave Traveller. Marshall Dillon, Rusty Model, Taunting Eyes, Shakalaka and Denuto collided soon after the start, checking Gracelands and Shakalaka. Brave Traveller, Marshall Dillon, Rusty Model, Shakalaka  and Denuto collided on the first turn, checking Shakalka and Gracelands and severely checking Rusty Model and Taunting Eyes. Gracelands checked off Denuto approaching the home turn. Rock Me Elijah and Denuto collided approaching the home turn. Rusty Model, Taunting Eyes and Gracelands collided on the home turn, checking Gracelands and Taunting Eyes.

Rapanui Surprise was quick to begin. Timmy Tunga was slow to begin.

Weblec Wizz crossed in soon after the start, checking Stylish Missile. O'Sullivan and Oddjob Lad collided soon after the start, checking O'Sullivan and Still Rockin'. Still Rockin' and O'Sullivan collided in the first turn. Oddjob Lad raced wide on the first turn. Stylish Missile and O'Sullivan collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn, checking O'Sullivan. Rapanui Surprise checked off Weblec Wizz on the third turn. 

O'Sullivan underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Coffey Road was slow to begin. 

Break The Plate, Reap The Rewards and Southern Edge collided approaching the first turn, checking Reap The Rewards, Southern Edge and Coffey Road. Spotted Panther and Big Bella collided on the first turn, checking Big Bella, Coffey Road, Reap The Rewards and Southern Edge; Southern Edge brushed the rail as a result. Talk Talk Talk crossed to the rails on the first turn, checking Break The Plate and Percy's Diva. Southern Edge raced wide approaching the home turn.

This race was delayed by approximately 8 minutes due to initial delays following a thunderstorm, and again further delayed after the boxes opened prematurely once the amber light had been activated. As a result, Shining and Lady Bang Bang ran a short distance before being caught; both greyhounds were vetted and passed fit to race. Due to this malfunction, Stewards directed that the race be started manually. 

Romanova was slow to begin. 

Romanova and Lady Bang Bang collided on the third turn. Bubbles tired over the concluding stages of the event. 

Bubbles underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the right hind paw. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms Karen Leek, the trainer of Bubbles regarding the greyhound's performance over the concluding stages of the event. Ms Leek stated that she felt that Bubbles was capable of running the 699m, however after tonight's performance she will likely keep him to slightly shorter distances in future events. 

The start of this event was delayed by approximately three minutes due to race five running behind schedule. 

Weblec Ace was quick to begin. 

Weblec Jack, Ashley's Entity and Waging War collided approaching the first turn. Ashley's Entity contacted the running rail  on the first turn. Mister Harlewood checked off Get It Gizmo on the first turn, causing Weblec Jack and Waging War to race wide. Black Signature and Mister Harlewood collided approaching the second turn, checking Mister Harlewood.

Khaleesi Girl and Flowing was quick to begin and collided soon after the start.  Python Pride and Living Daylights were slow to begin.

Annabelle Lee was quick to begin. 

Captain Jake and Bush Song collided soon after the start, checking Captain Jake. Annabelle Lee crossed out approaching the first turn, checking Light The Track. Folding Green checked off Captain Jake on the first turn. Light The Track and Captain Jake collided on the second turn, checking Captain Jake.

Taking Off was quick to begin. Gin Lee's Joe was slow to begin. 

Aladdin Prince and Blue Marie collided soon after the start, checking Blue Marie. Monty Python galloped on Taking Off approaching the first turn. Gin Lee's Joe and Regal Duke approaching the home turn. Blue Marie raced wide approaching the home turn. 

Superior Chase and Sonny Micawber was slow to begin.
