Steward's Report
Double Bolt - Late scratching at 3:17 pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37), due to a tail laceration. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
King's Honour and Chill Out Virgo were slow to begin.
Jumbo Zeal and Chill Out Diesel collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn, checking Chill Out Diesel. Chill Out Diesel and Chill Out Virgo collided on the first turn, checking Chill Out Virgo. Levi and Jumbo Zeal collided on the first turn, checking Jumbo Zeal and King's Honour. Magnet Force raced wide on the home turn, checking Side Hustle. King's Honour and Chill Out Diesel collided several times in the home straight, checking both greyhounds. Side Hustle marred Magnet Force in the home straight, checking Levi.
Side Hustle underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr Troy Scott, the trainer of Side Hustle regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Side Hustle was charged with marring. Mr Scott pleaded guilty to the charge, Side Hustle is suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Chill Out Diesel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Chilcott, the trainer of Chill Out Diesel, regarding its performance in the home straight. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Chill Out Diesel must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr Joshua McDonald, trainer of Magnet Force, regarding his language at the boxes. Mr. McDonald was fined $100 pursuant to GAR 86(o).
