Steward's Report
Euro Marsh was slow to begin. Connor Allen and Dewana Jayden collided soon after the start. Connor Allen, Dewana Jayden and Cosmic Ollie collided on the first turn checking Euro Marsh, Connor Allen and Dewana Jayden. King Lorrimer and Tessa Allen collided entering the front straight checking Tessa Allen and Pandora's Proof. Star Hunter and Pandora's Proof collided entering the front straight checking both greyhounds. Euro Marsh checked off Pandora's Proof on the fourth turn. Dewana Jayden turned its head outside and collided with Connor Allen entering the home straight checking Connor Allen. Euro Marsh and Pandora's Proof collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds.
Tessa Allen fell in the catching pen and was vetted. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Dewana Jayden was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right triangle muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms. B. Kinder, Trainer of Dewana Jayden,regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions ofGAR 69(B)(1),Dewana Jayden was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Kinder pleaded guilty to the charge, Dewana Jayden must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted
