Steward's Report
Aston Pirate - Late scratching at 6.38pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr Ray Brittain was fined $100.
A pre-race sample was taken from Alamo Joe.
Arlington was quick to begin. Tamou Bale and Yeller Bale were slow to begin.
Zipping Sherman and Reiko Houdini collided soon after the start. Yeller Bale checked off Zipping Sherman approaching the first turn. Yeller Bale contacted the rail on the first turn and lost considerable ground as a result. Tamou Bale and Zipping Sherman collided on the home turn. Zipping Sherman and Reiko Houdini collided on the home turn.
Yeller Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasion to the left hock and right foot, however no stand down period was imposed.
