Cool Titanuim, which vomited in the kennels, was vetted prior to the start of this event and passed suitable to race.
Hadeel Bale, Amanda Lee and Speedy Amira were quick to begin. Stand Beside Me and Lagoon Pirate were slow to begin.
Hadeel Bale and Amanda Lee collided approaching the first turn, checking Amanda Lee. Cool Titanium, Cash No Bounce and Stand Beside Me collided on the first turn, checking Cash No Bounce. Hadeel Bale and Mighty Max Gone collided on the first turn, checking Hadeel Bale. Stand Beside Me checked off Cool Titanium approaching the home turn and collided with Lagoon Pirate. Mighty Max Gone galloped on Speedy Amira on the home turn. Cool Titanium and Mighty Max Gone collided approaching the winning post.
A post-race sample was taken from Cool Titanium - unplaced in the event.
Mighty Max Gone underwent a post-race veterinary examination after falling in the catching pen and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind leg. No stand down period was imposed.
