Pete's Gym Boots and All This Mayhem collided soon after the start, checking Pete's Gym Boots. Hook Along Book brushed the running rail on the first turn, checking Hook Along Book. Causing Drama checked off All This Mayhem on the first turn. Pete's Gym Boots clipped the heels of Hook Along Book approaching the home turn, checking Hook Along Book and severely checking Pete's Gym Boots, which stumbled as a result. 

Pete's Gym Boots underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left front paw. No stand down period was imposed.

The start of this race was delayed by approximately two minutes due to Race 2 at Rockhampton greyhounds running behind schedule. 

Hazelhurst and Hook Along Mint were slow to begin.

Hook Along Mint checked off Hazlehurst on the first turn.

Absolute Scenes checked off Scenic Warrior on the first turn. Gypsy's Mindy brushed the running rail on the first turn. Grindelwald checked off Dim Sim approaching the home turn. Gypsy's Mindy contacted the running rail on the home turn, severely checking Gypsy's Mindy.

Gypsy's Mindy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left hock. No stand down period was imposed.

Betty Bowl was quick to begin, Senor Diego was slow to begin.

Major Style and Senor Diego collided approaching the first turn, checking Senor Diego.  Ginny Weasley checked off Betty Bowl approaching the first turn, checking Senor Diego, Dirty Stella and Dyna Ringo. Close Encounter and Dyna Ringo collided on the first turn, checking Close Encounter. Ginny Weasley and Senor Diego collided several times from the first turn to approaching the home turn, checking Ginny Weasley.

Kat's Jerry crossed to the rail soon after the start , checking Devil's Cartel, Lektra Style, Shima Shine and Alfie Mikado. Fireball Friday and Know Success collided approaching the first turn, checking Know Success and Alfie Mikado. Devil's Cartel galloped on Lektra Style approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Alfie Mikado and Sprightly Fabio collided on several occasions approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds

Sky Wesley was quick to begin. Belt Up Ronny went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.

Zipping Clifford and Noosa Parade collided on the first turn, checking Noosa Parade. Belt Up Ronny, Matilda Mikado and Yogi Mikado collided entering the back straight, checking Matilda Mikado. Yogi Mikado checked off Noosa Parade entering the back straight. Matilda Mikado checked off Noosa Parade on the second turn.

Come On Eleanor was quick to begin. Shima Rock, Sprightly Bro, Kat's Hughy and Threadin' Mikado were slow to begin.

Burst The Seam, Little Tubbsy and Pippa Squeak collided on the first turn, checking Pippa Squeak, as a result Threadin' Mikado was severely checked and fell.  Kat's Hughy and Burst The Seam collided entering the home straight. Little Tubbsy and Sprightly Bro collided in the home straight, checking both greyhounds.

Threadin' Mikado underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a gracilis muscle injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Deano's Mojo and Claretown Beau were slow to begin.

Minnesota Lee and Barry Bomber collided soon after the start, checking Barry Bomber. Minnesota Lee, Dyna Drew and Claretown Beau collided approaching the first turn, checking Dyna Drew. Cool Titanuim, which vomited in the kennels, was vetted prior to the start of this event and passed suitable to race. 

Hadeel Bale, Amanda Lee and Speedy Amira were quick to begin. Stand Beside Me and Lagoon Pirate were slow to begin.

Hadeel Bale and Mighty Max Gone collided on the first turn, checking Hadeel Bale. Stand Beside Me checked off Cool Titanium approaching the home turn and collided with Lagoon Pirate. Mighty Max Gone galloped on Speedy Amira on the home turn. Cool Titanium and Mighty Max Gone collided approaching the winning post.

Mighty Max Gone underwent a post-race veterinary examination after falling in the catching pen and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind leg. No stand down period was imposed. 

Itching To Go was quick to begin, Zambora Club was slow to begin.

Rockstar Melody, Tolga and Lacarabine collided approaching the first turn, checking Lacarabine. Dirty Max and Itching To Go collided on the first turn. Tolga checked off Dirty Max approaching the home turn, checking Rockstar Melody. Valstrepo raced wide on the home turn. Zambora Club raced wide in the home straight.

Dazzling Melody and Desiree Dancer were quick to begin, Kelli Pochette and Southwood Ace were slow to begin.

Quick Session, Soho Girl and Chile Allen collided on the first turn, checking Chile Allen which became unbalanced and lost ground. Nangkita Keats crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Quick Session.

Chile Allen underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr S. Cachia regarding the greyhound's performace on the first turn. After watching the official replays (head on and side on), taking evidence from Mr Cachia and acting on their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
