An out of competition sample was taken from Raw Zeal and Charley Davidson on Monday, 5 August 2019 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Crown Tuxedo was slow to begin.
Starchie, Crown Nikki and Ravenous Rex collided approaching the first turn, checking Crown Nikki. Raw Zeal, Starchie, Ravenous Rex and Charley Davidson collided on the first turn, checking Ravenous Rex, severely checking Starchie; and causing Crown Nikki to fall.
Starchie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg wrist injury. A five day stand down period was imposed.
Crown Nikki underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Crown Tuxedo underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
A post-race sample was taken from Raw Zeal - the winner of the event.
