Stewards spoke to Mr Donald McDonald regarding an incident at the start of kenneling in which Iles Inn became loose and made its way down to the track whilst Mr McDonald was placing the collar and lead on the greyhound.  After considering all the evidence, Stewards charged Mr McDonald with a breach of GAR 27 (1) in that he did not have proper control of a greyhound on a racecourse. The greyhound underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race.  Stewards found Mr McDonald guilty as charged and fined him the sum of $100. In considering penalty, Stewards took into consideration Mr McDonald's longevity of over 60 years in the greyhound industry.

Iles Inn and Spot On Mick were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Levy's Banjo, Boydtown Bandit and Dundee Joker collided soon after the start and again at the 300m mark checking Levy's Banjo, Boydtown Bandit and Darnum Dozer.  Iles Inn and Bernmar Blue collided several times from the 300m mark to the 250m mark checking Spot On Mick.  Spot On Mick crossed to the outside at the 250m mark checking Bernmar World.  Iles Inn and Boydtown Bandit collided at the 250m mark.  Iles Inn and Darnum Dozer collided approaching the 100m mark.  Iles Inn, Levy's Banjo and Darnum Dozer collided at the 50m mark checking Iles Inn and Darnum Dozer.  Iles Inn, Levy's Banjo, Darnum Dozer and Boydtown Bandit collided approaching the winning post checking Levy's Banjo and Darnum Dozer.

Levy's Banjo underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Bernmar Blue underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 8. Bernmar Blue was found to have shin shoreness to both metacarpals. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Cracked Pepper, Bernmar Fiery and Bernmar Luck were slow to begin.

A pre-race sample was taken from Gypsy Kiowa.

Gypsy Kiowa and Allanon were quick to begin.  Wrap Around and Miss Laquisha were slow to begin.

Wrap Around and Miss Laquisha collided at the 275m mark.  Wrap Around and Gypsy Kiowa collided at the 150m mark.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Trevor Whitford regarding the number of starts All For Now has had between 28/06/19 and 12/07/19 (15 days - 5 starts).  Mr Whitford stated that the greyhound is not worked or trialed between races and is seen regularly by a vet.  Mr Whitford also stated that his preference is to race his greyhounds rather than trial them.

George Knockin', Flaming Fabio, Gazza's Pick and Bernmar Junior were slow to begin.

Gazza's Pick and Bernmar Junior collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Boney Power, Tex Ribs and Gazza's Pick collided at the 250m mark.  Boney Power and Tex Ribs collided at the 200m mark checking both greyhounds.  Bernmar Junior, Boney Power and Tex Ribs collided approaching the 100m mark checking Boney Power.  George Knockin' crossed to the outside at the 50m mark and collided with Bernmar Junior several times.  Boney Power and Tex Ribs collided approaching the winning post.  All For Now and Rockin' Rosco collided throughout the whole event.

Bernmar Junior underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration on the left hind paw. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Saint Burner – New declared weight of 33.2kg, last raced at 31.6kg.

Sprite Halo and Jiggly Wiggly collided soon after the start.  Mum's The Word, Soho Girl and Sam I'm Mikado collided soon after the start.  Tim Tam Sam and Mum's The Word collided at the 300m mark.  Mum's The Word and Sam I'm Mikado collided at the 300m mark checking Sam I'm Mikado.  Mum's The Word crossed to the outside at the 275m mark.

This event was delayed by approximately 2 minutes due to having to remove ducks from the track.

My Fernando Tim began awkwardly and was very slow to begin (5 lengths).

Boomer Blitz underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Luna Evening underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a possible left front toe fracture. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Janray Rastus and Crackerjack Ward were slow to begin.
