Steward's Report
Stewrds spoke to Mr J.Formosa, the trainer of Speckie Mckean regarding the number of starts the greyhound has had between 1st July to the 11th July.(11 days --4 starts). Mr Formosa stated the greyhound had only worked in the exercise yards between race starts and in his opinion was fit for racing . Mr Formosa added the greyhound had not finished further back than second in each of its past four starts.
Stewrds spoke to Ms K. Houlahan, the handler of Layback Cruiser regarding the number of starts the greyhound has had between 30th June to the 11th July. (12 days --4 starts). Ms Houlahan stated the greyhound has only been lightly exercised between race starts, and in her opinion the greyhound was fit for racing. Ms Houlahan also added that the greyhound has won 3 of its last 4 starts.
Rum Dum, Maximum Brew and Diesel's A Rebel collided soon after the start checking Maximum Brew and Diesel's A Rebel. Speckie McKean, Layback Cruiser and Dyna Hinkley collided on the first turn checking Dyna Hinkley. Speckie McKean raced wide on the home turn checking Layback Cruiser. Dyna Hinkley checked off the heels of Speckie Mckean in the home straight. Rum Dum and Maximum Brew collided in the home straight. Dyna Hinkley raced wide in the home straight.
