Stewards spoke to trainer Mr F Meyer, regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Paid Too Much was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr F. Meyer pleaded guilty to the charge, Paid Too Much must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

After viewing the official replays, taking evidence from Mr Tolson and acknowledging the On Track Veterinarian's report Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Fast Freddie must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Why Not Loz – Performed a trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Geelong for cramping. Weighing 24.5kgs and beginning from box 4, Why Not Loz placed 3rd beaten by 4.25L in a time of 22.89. Why Not Loz has been cleared to race at all tracks.

Valletta Mist – Performed a trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Ballarat for failing to pursue (injury). Weighing 27.9kgs and beginning from box 7, Valletta Mist won the trial by 4.25L in a time of 22.58. Valetta Mist has been cleared to race at all tracks.

Destini Ferrari – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to a left shoulder injury. Weighing 36.4kgs and beginning from box 3, Destini Ferrari placed 2nd in a field of 4 starters beaten by 4.25L. Destini Ferrari has been cleared to race at all tracks.
