Lachie's Legacy went up with the lids at boxrise an was slow to begin.  Bernmar Cheeky and Bernmar Fiery were slow to begin.  Missing Key, Idle Gem and Harmony Hall collided approaching the first turn.  Harmony Hall, Idle Gem and Missing Key collided on the first turn checking Harmony Hall and Missing Key causing Lachie's Legacy and Harmony Hall to collide checking both greyhounds.  Missing Key stumbled approaching the home turn and commenced to lose ground.

Missing Key underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Zipping Dozer - Late scratching at 4:20pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to illness.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Larkhill West and Okawa On Fire collided soon after the start.  Curiouser and Crazy Happy collided soon after the start.  Larkhill West and Okawa On Fire collided approaching the first turn checking Larkhill West.  Okawa On Fire checked off Curiouser on the first turn causing Curiouser and Crazy Happy to collide checking Okawa On Fire causing Okawa On Fire, Larkhill West and Jonathan's Rose to collide.  Curiouser and Crazy Happy collided approaching the home turn checking Crazy Happy.  Larkhill West, Okawa On Fire and Jonathan's Rose collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds.

Haunting - Late scratching at 4:40pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. S. Toner was fined $100.

Ado Carr and Speedy Readie collided soon after the start.  Red Beryl, Ado Carr, Larkhill County and Speedy Readie collided approaching the first turn checking Larkhill County and Speedy Readie.  Red Beryl and Ado Carr collided approaching the home turn.  Speedy Readie checked off Red Beryl on the home turn.

Valencia Kid and Go Twenty Two collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Piccolo Fratello and Zipping Cia collided approaching the first turn.  Zipping Cia checked off How High Jazz on the first turn causing Zipping Cia, Piccolo Fratello, Valencia Kid and Cross Threaded to collide.  Zipping Cia checked off How High Jazz approaching the home turn.

Off To Monaco was quick to begin.  Whodat Dare and Hird From Bucks collided soon after the start.  Lulumon and Nobody's Girl collided approaching the first turn checking Lulumon.  Off To Monaco and Whodat Dare collided entering the back straight.  Off To Monaco checkecd off Whodat Dare on the second turn causing Off To Monaco and Nobody's Girl to collide.  Whodat Dare and Hird From Bucks collided entering the home straight.

Seve Rose checked off Just Burning soon after the start.  King Colt, Just Burning and Zipping Leroy collided approaching the first turn.  King Colt checked off Locked In approaching the first turn.  King Colt checked off Just Burning entering the back straight causing King Colt and Velocity Dory to collide.  Just Burning and Velocity Dory collided on the second turn.  Locked In, Stand Beside Me and Velocity Dory collided approaching the home turn checking Locked In and Stand Beside Me.  Seve Rose and Stand Beside Me collided entering the home straight checking Stand Beside Me which lost ground as a result.

Stand Beside Me underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abraded paw pad/webbing.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Sapphire Power was quick to begin.  Mepunga Billy and Sapphire Power collided approaching the first turn.  Mepunga Billy, Sapphire Power and Refresh collided on the first turn checking Sapphire Power.  Special Drop checked off Sapphire Power  on the second turn checking Magic Maya.  Mepunga Billy and Special Drop raced wide on the home turn.  Dreamy Julian raced wide entering the home straight.  Dreamy Julian and Mepunga Billy collided entering the home straight, in the home straight and approaching the winning post.

Dreamy Julian underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Ms. C. Cook, the trainer of Dreamy Julian and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.

Lakeview Lucky was slow to begin.  Midnight Marzy and Maximum Tiff collided approaching the first turn.  Potere, Midnight Marzy and Maximum Tiff collided on the first turn checking Midnight Marzy and Potere.  Hot Stratty Girl and Potere collided in the back straight and again on the second turn.  Maximum Tiff checked off Rosie Glenda approaching the home turn.

Lakeview Isla, Kranskey and Bella's Ghost collided soon after the start checking Lakeview Isla.  Destini Trucker and Little Black Joe collided soon after the start.  Kranskey and Bella's Ghost collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn.  Destini Trucker, Little Black Joe and Gee Dalton collided on the first turn checking Destini Trucker.  Tat Warby and Gee Dalton collided on the home turn and again approaching the winning post.

Victory Post and Soda Maxi were slow to begin.  Mindy's Girl, Meraki, Disco Hips and Soda Maxi collided on the first turn checking Meraki, Disco Hips and Soda Maxi.  Mindy's Girl and Disco Hips raced wide in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Ruby's Cheekstar.

Krypto Jam, Kingsbrae Boof and Zipping Riot collided soon after the start.  Krypto Jam and Ruby's Cheekstar collided approaching the first turn.  Kingsbrae Boof, Ruby's Cheekstar and Zipping Riot collided on the first turn checking Zipping Riot.  Krypto Jam and Ruby's Cheekstar collided approaching the home turn.  Zipping Riot faltered entering the home straight and lost ground.

Following the event Zipping Riot displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS).  As a result, the greyhound underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be displaying clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermentia.  A 5 day stand down penalty ws imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Johnson, the trainer of Zipping Riot.  After hearing submission, the Stewards acted in accordance with GAR 74 and Zipping Riot must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) and receive a veterinary clearance before any future nomination will be accepted.

Justin Rose - Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Sale for Failing to pursue (injury).  Weighing 32.3kgs and beginning from box 1, Justin Rose completed the 440m trial distance in a time of 25.49.  Justin Rose placed 3rd in a field of 4 beaten by 3.25 lengths.   Justin Rose has been Cleared to race at all tracks.
