Steward's Report
Acting on a confirmed phone call from trainer Mr P. Thomson, Lonnie Mach was a late scratching at 5.23pm. No stand down penalty was imposed after Mr Thomson supplied the Stewards with a vehicle breakdown certificate.
Black Opium, Go Seek Fernando, He Shall Johnny, Sunny's Kayo, Pagan Dancer, Fernando's Riot and Zipping Chaser collided approaching the first turn, causing Black Opium to cross out, severely checking Black Opium, Sunny's Kayo, Zipping Chaser checking Go Seek Fernando, He Shall Johnny and Fernando's Riot. He Shall Johnny and Fernando's Riot collided approaching the third turn checking Fernando's Riot. Black Opium checked off Zipping Chaser entering the back straight checking Sunny's Kayo.
Stewards noted Zipping Chaser was momentarily pushed off the track in the front straight first time. Talking into consideration the interference the greyhound suffered in the racing incident on the first turn and entering the front straight Stewards took no action as per GAR 61(5).
