Winlock Thor and Midnight Turbo were slow to begin.

Rock And Roll and Mepunga Pegasus collided approaching the first turn checking Mepunga Pegasus.  Winlock Sunshine and Weblec King collided on the first turn causing Midnight Turbo to clip the heels of Weblec King as a result Midnight Turbo was severely checked causing Captain Jake and Winlock Thor to gallop on Midnight Turbo severely checking all three greyhounds, Midnight Turbo lost ground as a result. Weblec King checked off Winlock Sunshine entering the back straight.  Optimus Steel checked off Rock And Roll in the home straight.

Midnight Turbo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left hind dorsal.  No stand down period was imposed.

Zipping Jamie was quick to begin.  By Your Side went up with the lids and was slow to begin. Eye Will Reign was slow to begin.

By Your Side checked off Kraken Sam Bam in the back straight.  By Your Side and Expense Eve collided approaching the home turn.

Cosmic Ollie and Ripplebrook Jess were quick to begin.

Flying Moss and Ripplebrook Jess collided soon after the start.  Strking Weetbix, Flying Moss and Zipping Galon collided on the first turn checking Striking Weetbix, Zipping Galon and severely checking Flying Moss.  Hot Finish and Ripplebrook Jess collided approaching the second turn.  Striking Weetbix and Zipping Galon collided on the second turn checking Zipping Galon.  Cosmic Ollie and Ripplebrook Jess collided on the home turn.  

Flying Moss underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the left and right hind metatarsals.  No stand down period was imposed.

Acting on a confirmed phone call from trainer Mr P. Thomson, Lonnie Mach  was a late scratching at 5.23pm. No stand down penalty was imposed after Mr Thomson supplied the Stewards with a vehicle breakdown certificate.

Black Opium, Go Seek Fernando, He Shall Johnny, Sunny's Kayo, Pagan Dancer, Fernando's Riot and Zipping Chaser collided approaching the first turn, causing Black Opium to cross out, severely checking Black Opium, Sunny's Kayo, Zipping Chaser checking Go Seek Fernando, He Shall Johnny and Fernando's Riot. He Shall Johnny and Fernando's Riot collided approaching the third turn checking Fernando's Riot. Black Opium checked off Zipping Chaser entering the back straight checking Sunny's Kayo.  

Stewards noted Zipping Chaser was momentarily pushed off the track in the front straight first time. Talking into consideration the interference the greyhound suffered in the racing incident on the first turn and entering the front straight  Stewards took no action as per GAR 61(5).

Kingsbrae Carol and Lady Oracle were slow to begin.

Why Not Kez and Flowing collided approaching the first turn.  Zipping Magda and Lylah's Way collided approaching the first turn checking Lylah's Way.  Dyna Alia and Why Not Kez collided on the first turn.  Dyna Alia, Zipping Magda, Kingsbrae Carol and Why Not Kez collided on the second turn severely checking Why Not Kaz and Dyna Alia.

Deliver and Often Imitated collided soon after the start.  Jaro Bale, Neo Cleo and Often Imitated collided on the first turn checking Deliver and severely checking He's For Me and Neo Cleo.  Jaro Bale and Often Imitated collided on the second turn. 

He's For Me underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind thigh injury and an abrasion to the left hind tibia region.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Neo Cleo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left font metacarpal.  No stand down period was imposed.

Riley's Paige and Wears Woodleigh collided soon after the start checking I'm Easy Boys.  Riley's Paige and Wears Woodleigh collided approaching the first turn.  Wears Woodleigh and Seve Rose collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds.  Riley's Paige and Wears Woodleigh raced wide in the home straight. 

Kraken Doll, Mepunga Molly and Spokane Flick were slow to begin.

Zipping Dion and Juniper Pearl collided soon after the start and again on on the first turn. Mepunga Molly and Ocean View collided on the first turn.  Mepunga Molly checked off Lightwood Lass approaching the second turn.  Kraken Doll and Mepunga Molly collided entering the back straight. Kraken Doll and Spokane Flick collided approaching the third turn checking Spoaken Flick.

Oshkosh Myles was slow to begin.

Mepunga Maggie and Chloe Louise collided on the first turn.  Golden Years checked off Wilbur Deeds on the first turn checking Loranza.  Chloe Louise checked off Oshkosh Myles approaching the home turn.  Wilbur Deeds checked off Aston Tequila in the home straight.

Mepunga Lock, Python Pride and Weetbix Bites were quick to begin.

Mepunga Lock and Python Pride collided soon after the start.  Python Pride and Nate's Awesome collided soon after the start.  Weetbix Bites, Dyna Drew and Rojo Ollie collided approaching the first turn checking Weetbix Bites which tailed off as a result.  Weetbix Bites and Dyna Drew collided on the first turn checking Weetbix Bites.  Nate's Awesome and Dyna Drew collided on the third turn checking Dyna Drew. 

Weetbix Bites underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left metatarsal fracture.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Rojo Ollie Mr G. Doyle regarding touching the top of the starting box after the green light was activated. Mr Doyle stated that the greyhound’s tail was protruding through the top of the starting box and he was concerned that it would get caught. Stewards advised him that the boxes are designed for such instances.  Stewards excepted his explanation, took no further action.
