Rapid Hennessy – New declared weight of 36.4kgs, last raced at 35.3kgs.
Rapid Hennessy and All Inn Christy collided soon after the start. All Inn Christy and Ko Rapid Jack collided soon after the start. Banyuatis and Federal Attack collided approaching the 250m mark. Rapid Hennessy checked off All Inn Christy at the 200m mark. Banyuatis and Federal Attack collided several times at 150m mark. Further Dreamer checked off Rapid Hennessy at the 150m mark. Federal Attack checked of Banyuatis at the 100m mark. Rapid Hennessy checked off Federal Attack approaching the winning post.
Rapid Hennessy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right hind leg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr G. Paez regarding the manner in which Rapid Hennessy raced approaching the winning post. Stewards took into consideration the injury sustained to Rapid Hennesy and as a result took no further action after Mr Paez advised that the greyhound will not be nominated for any event until the greyhound is fit to race.
A post-race sample was taken from All Inn Christy - the winner of the event.
