Mepunga Pride and Superior Bont were slow to begin.
Mepunga Pride, My Hardaway Hana and Superior Bont collided approaching the first turn, checking My Hardaway Hana. Lady Danger and By Your Side collided on the first turn. My Hardaway Hana and Know Success collideed in the home turn. Lady Danger and Tickle My Fancy collided on the home turn. Mepunga Pride raced wide on the home turn.
Superior Bont underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an incident with the finish on lure. Superior Bont was found to have a spike wound to the right hind foot. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Snags Mckenzie - the winner of the event.
