Pride Of Oasis - Late scratching at 14:48pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr A Wilcock was fined $100.
Fake It, Yep Yep and Cool Titanium collided approaching the first turn checking Yep Yep. Fake It and Cool Titanium collided on the first turn checking Cool Titanium. Cool Titanium and Cosmic Brew collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Miss Winks and Fake It collided on the home turn. Cosmic Brew and Cool Titanium collided on the home turn checking Cool Titanium. Miss Winks, Fake It and Cosmic Brew collided on the home turn, checking all three greyhounds. Miss Winks and Fake It collided in the home straight.
Miss Winks underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds to both hind paws however no stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr S Chircop regarding the greyhound's performance on the home turn. After taking evidence from Mr Chircop, viewing the official replays and acting on their own observations Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Miss Winks must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
