Brittany's Angel, Burning Express and Crymelon Tess were slow to begin.
Front Bar and Smoke And Embers collided approaching the first turn checking Smoke And Embers. Burning Express crossed to the inside on the first turn checking Brittany's Angel and Burning Express, causing Brittany's Angel to cross to the outside checking My Girl Sissy and Crymelon Tess and causing Crymelon Tess to lose ground.
Crymelon Tess underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist sprain and an abrasion to the right hock. A 7 day stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
