Cherokee Shimmer underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left quadriceps injury and a left pencil/whip injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed .Stewards spoke to Mr C Stanton, the trainer of Cherokee Shimmer regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Cherokee Shimmer was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Stanton pleaded guilty to the charge, Cherokee Shimmer is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ima Ruby – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to injuries to the stopper and triangle. Weighing 28.2kgs and beginning from box 1, Ima Ruby completed the 390 metre trial distance in a time of 22.90. Ima Ruby placed 2nd in a field of 4 starters beaten by 6L. Ima Ruby has been cleared to race.
