Steward's Report
Shakey Cougar – Late scratching at 7:45am when Mr. C. Russell reported the greyhound to have an elevated temperature (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Emily Skye was slow to begin.
Jupiter Asending and Sweet Ambush collided at the 250m mark. Jupiter Asending crossed to the outside at the 200m mark. Emily Skye and Doran's Grove collided approaching the 100m mark.
MEETING COMMENTS
Satisfactory Trials:
The following greyhounds performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial – The trial took place over 300m with three greyhounds required to trial in a field of four. The winning time of trial was 17.25.
Tunisian finished 4th, Remain Seated finished 3rd and Lightfoot Lass finished 1st.
Tunisian – Was stood down from racing at Shepparton for Marring. Weighing 33.2kg and beginning from box 1, beaten by 14.75 lengths. Tunisian has been not cleared to race due to faltering and losing considerable ground approaching the 200m mark.
Tanusian underwent a post-trial Veterinary examination and was found to have a torn left back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Remain Seated – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to a fractured left stopper. Weighing 32.3kg and beginning from box 6, beaten by 2.75 lengths. Remain Seated has been cleared to race all tracks.
Lightfoot Lass – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as connections wish to return the greyhound to racing from retirement. Weighing 25.6kg and beginning from box 8, winning by 1.75 lengths. Lightfoot Lass has been cleared to race at all tracks.
