Mr John Mangion failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time (9 minutes late) to retrieve and prepare Golden Moon for racing. Mr Mangion was fined $100 pursuant to GAR 46(2).

Smooth Roster, Paddy Ray and Pandora's Glory were slow to begin. Paddy Ray and Diamond Lee collided soon after the start. Paddy Ray crossed to the outside at the 250m mark checking Pandora's Glory and Golden Moon. Emma's Not Happy and Smooth Roster collided at the 200m mark. Pandora's Glory and Golden Moon collided at the 200m mark and again at the 100m mark. 

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Mangion, the Trainer of Golden Moon and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 100m mark.

A pre-race sample was taken from Sayonara Sweetie.

Sayonara Sweetie and Masamune were slow to begin. Spot On Mick was very slow to begin (3 lengths). 

Sayonara Sweetie and Masamune collided soon after the start. Shooter's Ajax and Kip Your Star collided at the 250m mark. Sayonara Sweeetie and Plain Name collided at the 250m mark. Shooter's Ajax checked off Kip Your Star approaching the 200m mark. Masamune checked off Sayonara Sweetie approaching the 200m mark. Masamune and Shooter's Ajax collided at the 100m mark. Kip Your Star and Oliver Lee collided approaching the 50m mark. Shooter's Ajax and Masamune collided approaching the winning post.

Masamune underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right fore monkey muscle injury. A 10 stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr P. Sutcliffe, the Trainer of Masamune and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 100m mark.

A post-race sample was taken from Silver Sultan - the winner of the event.

Cawbourne Mav and Flash Logie collided soon after the start. Victoria's Kara crossed to the outside aoon after the start and collided with Springvale Misty. Nasty Rach checked off Dirty Stella at the 50m mark and collided with Zipping Ester.

Flash Logie – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52. 

Rapid Hennessy was slow to begin and crossed to the outside soon after the start.

Why Not Dean crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Good Work Johnny, Tears In Eyes and Raging Roy. Why Not Dean and Raging Roy collided several times from the 250m mark to the 200m mark. Why Not Dean crossed to the outside at the 200m mark checking Good Work Johnny and severely checking Tears In Eyes and Why Not Dean. Why Not Dean checked off Tears In Eyes approaching the winning post. 

Stewards noted the muzzle of Why Not Dean became dislodged in the starting boxes.

Federal Attack – Late scratching at 7:50am when Ms D. Furey reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

High Kings and Atarah collided soon after the start. Ko Rapid Jack, Atarah and Rockin' Rosco collided at the 250m mark.

Azure Dragon – Late scratching at 7:45am when Mr G. Campbell reported the greyhound to have a hock injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Over And Away.

Over And Away and One Plus Two collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds, One Plus Two faltered and tailed off as a result. Miss Booming crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Prince Mark. Over And Away and Prince Mark collided at the 300m mark. Tyson's Rebel checked off Miss Booming approaching the 250m mark. 

One Plus Two underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind triangle injury. A 28 stand down period was imposed.

Carson County and Samba King collided soon after the start. Samba King, Bubsy John and Rurik collied at the 300m mark. Scott Dynamism and Samba King collided ayt the 150m mark. Scot Dynamism, Bubsy John and Cozi Fitz collided at the 50m mark. Scott Dynamisn checked off Cozi Fitz approaching the winning post. 

Lucky Millie and Go Didda Go collided at the 300m mark. Mister Maker and Courage Crest collided approaching the 150m mark. 

Broken Pieces - Late scratching at 10:36am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an infected right fore nail bed. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Further Dreamer.

Shafira crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Bluey Can Fly, Further Dreamer, Lady Simmeron and Happy As Larry. Shafira and Lady Simmeron collided approaching the 250m mark.

Percy's Curse - Not raced in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing following a left stopper tendon injury.

Checker Plate was slow to begin.

Lady Mikado and Checker Plate collided at the 200m mark. Lady Mikado and Percy's Curse collided several times approaching the 150m mark and again at the 150m mark, checking Lady Mikado and Madonya. 

Weeona Gina - Not raced in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing following a seasonal spell.

A pre-race sample was taken from Weeona Gina.

Tophat And Tails was slow to begin.

Fawn Pursuit and Hot Cruiser collided at the 250m mark. Tophat And Tails and Hot Cruiser collided at the 200m mark. 

Fawn Pursuit underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 60 stand down period was imposed.

Shakey Cougar – Late scratching at 7:45am when Mr. C. Russell reported the greyhound to have an elevated temperature (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Emily Skye was slow to begin.

Jupiter Asending and Sweet Ambush collided at the 250m mark. Jupiter Asending crossed to the outside at the 200m mark. Emily Skye and Doran's Grove collided approaching the 100m mark. 

MEETING COMMENTS

Satisfactory Trials:

The following greyhounds performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial – The trial took place over 300m with three greyhounds required to trial in a field of four. The winning time of trial was 17.25.

Tunisian finished 4th, Remain Seated finished 3rd and Lightfoot Lass finished 1st.

Tunisian – Was stood down from racing at Shepparton for Marring. Weighing 33.2kg and beginning from box 1, beaten by 14.75 lengths. Tunisian has been not cleared to race due to faltering and losing considerable ground approaching the 200m mark.

Tanusian underwent a post-trial Veterinary examination and was found to have a torn left back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Remain Seated – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to a fractured left stopper. Weighing 32.3kg and beginning from box 6, beaten by 2.75 lengths. Remain Seated has been cleared to race all tracks.

Lightfoot Lass – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as connections wish to return the greyhound to racing from retirement. Weighing 25.6kg and beginning from box 8, winning by 1.75 lengths. Lightfoot Lass has been cleared to race at all tracks.
