Sports Gairn – New declared weight of 33.2kgs, last raced at 32.0kgs Sports Gairn– Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a spell and change of diet.
Quando Quando – Late scratching at 11.28am when Mrs G. Lemin reported the greyhound to have a illness (GAR 23). Stewards spoke to Ms Lemin who advised that the greyhound showed symptoms of kennel cough. 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Hot Cruiser was slow to begin.
Hot Cruiser, Blitzen Bell and Quicksilver Hope collided soon after the start checking Quicksilver Hope, Blitzen Bell and Kirabilli Poppy. Sports Gairn checked off Blue Magnum approaching the home turn. Kirabilli Poppy and Blitzen Bell collided on the home turn checking Quicksilver Hope. Nitro Hook and Hot Cruiser collided several times in the home straight.
