Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Ryben Jack.
Wazza Hawk, Thumbs and Eau Rouge collided soon after the start. Lanis Morris, Wazza Hawk, Thumbs and Eau Rouge collided at the 300m mark, checking Lanis Morris. Haddi Bale, Lanis Morris and Thumbs collided at the 250m mark. Wazza Hawk checked off Ryben Jack at the 150m mark and collided with Eau Rouge, checking Wazza Hawk. Zipping Poppy eased approaching the winning post.
Zipping Poppy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a left shoulder muscle injury and sorness to the right calf muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Sutcliffe, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Zipping Poppy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Sutcliffe pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Poppy must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
