Steward's Report
Gazzelliot was a late scratching at 6:29PM due to non arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. D.Beasley was fined the sum of $100.
Poppa Slaz was quick to begin. Big Intention and La Porsche were slow to begin.
La Porsche checked off Seinfield approaching the first turn. Dennis Bale and Poppa Slaz collided on the first turn. Poppa Slaz, Daintree Dynasty and Seinfield collided on the first turn checking Poppa Slaz and Big Intention. Daintree Dynasty and Groove Girl collided on the home turn. Poppa Slaz marred the running of Seinfield in the home straight.
Poppa Slaz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right pencil muscle, left thigh and left triceps as well as spike wounds to the right hock and left foreleg. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Acting under GAR 69(1)(a) stewards charged Poppa Slaz with marring and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a STAT, pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
