Steward's Report
Fizzle Bale and Zambora Blueboy collided soon after the start. Dream Rattler, Zambora Ace and Destiny Shaker collided approaching the first turn checking Dream Rattler. Zambora Ace, Wild Frankie and Footbolt Shiraz collided on the first turn. Zambora Blueboy and Elmira Bale collided on the first turn. Fizzle Bale marred the running of Zambora Ace in the home straight resulting in Zambora Ace being checked.
Fizzle Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right wrist and the left shoulder. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Acting under GAR 69(1)(a) stewards charged Fizzle Bale with marring and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and directed that the greyhound perform a STAT, pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. J Briffa, representative of Mr G. Bate, regarding his lateness to the kennels to prepare Fizzle Bale for racing.
