Power Racer clipped the heels of Tequila Sunset approaching the first turn checking Tequila Sunset. Tequila Sunset and Gav's Gift collided on the first turn checking Tequila Sunset. Sienna Rose and Astonomer collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Tequila Sunset and Sienna Rose collided approaching the home turn severely checking Tequila Sunset. Scamanda and Power Racer collided in the home straight. Scamanda crossed to the rail in the home straight checking Scamanda and Power Racer, causing Power Racer and Gav's Gift to collide.
Tequila Sunset was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left back muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
