Steward's Report

Sudden Call and Pyrenees Inferno collided soon after the start, checking Pyrenees Inferno. Sweet Ambush crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Tron's Empire, Sudden Call, Eureka Osti and Quen Bale. Tuiaki Dora and Mr. Delahoya collided on the first turn, checking Mr. Delahoya. Sweet Ambush faultered on the home turn. Sudden Call, Eureka Osti and Tron's Empire collided entering the home straight, checking Tron's Empire. Eureka Osti, Sweet Ambush and Sudden Call raced wide in the home straight.  Eureka Osti and Sweet Ambush  collided in the home straight , checking Sweet Ambush.

Sweet Ambush underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards conferred with the On Track Veterinarian who confirmed that Sweet Ambush's racing action was consistent with the injury detected. As a result, Stewards took no action against Sweet Ambush's racing manners. 

A post-race sample was taken from Quen Bale - the winner of the event..
