Steward's Report
My Name's Red – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a change of kennel
Last Outlaw was slow to begin.
Annaley Rooka, Tricky Tron and Aston Axel collided soon after the start. Tricky Tron checked off Annaley Rooka at the 250m mark and crossed to the rail checking My Name's Red, Zharnel and Last Outlaw. Last Outlaw stumbled as a result. Annaley Rooka and Aston Axel collided at the 150m mark. Mr. Jawa, Annaley Rooka and Aston Axel collided at the 50m mark and again approaching the winning post checking Mrs. Jawa and Annaley Rooka.
Stewards questioned licenced trainer, Ms J. Fothergill via telephone conference call regarding the circumstances for failing to make available the registration card for the greyhound My Name's Red. Ms Fothergill stated that she had a vehicle breakdown in Melbourne 2 days prior and had inadvertently left the registration card at the motor mechanics. Stewards noted that the GRV Member Services department had notified GRV Stewards today of the circumstances. Stewards have placed an order on Ms Fothergill to produced supporting evidence by close of business on Monday 15th April 2019 or else penalties will apply pursuant to GAR 33(4)
Stewards spoke to Mr G. Maxwell, the handler of Last Outlaw and reminded of his responsibilities after he failed to follow the starters instructions pursuant to GAR 51 (10) (a).
